Welcome to the Association of Swedish Advertisers, the sole organization that promotes and maintains the advertisers' interests on the Swedish advertising market.
More than 500 corporations are members of the Association of Swedish Advertisers. Large, medium-size and small companies in practically all lines of business, government and local authorities, county councils, organizations - they are all marketers, and they all buy and use market communication.
The Association of Swedish Advertisers represents these corporations as a party and maintains their interests, and its mission is to obtain the most favourable conditions for its members' advertising, promotion, and market communication.
This is how the Association of Swedish Advertisers works:
Negotiations and agreements
By representing many of Sweden's marketers, we put pressure on the suppliers of the advertising trade.
We negotiate trade agreements and standard form contracts, such as general agreements for agency cooperation, supply agreements with the printing industry, and contracts with media and media groups.
Market legislation and regulations
Our legal experts offer the members service on laws and regulations, interpretation of rules and ethics covering the entire field of marketing, etc.
Counselling services for members also include overall issues, i.e. in media, planning and strategy, or choice of advertising agency. We have a wide knowledge of the advertising trade and the agencies' competence profiles and working methods. A range of working models for agency cooperation and planning, effect measurement and evaluation is also at the disposal of our members.
Media buyers need knowledge on development, surveys, and other relevant facts pertaining to media.
The Association of Swedish Advertisers monitors development in all kinds of media and promotes constant improvement of measurement and survey methods as well as norms established for media surveys.
The Association of Swedish Advertisers works towards greater freedom of action in marketing and better conditions for the members' market communication.
We do this by actively lobbying and influencing authorities in order to prevent curtailing legislation or other restrictions to advertising and market contact.
The Association of Swedish Advertisers also works to make marketing and advertising respected by the public as well as organisations and authorities as a dynamic prime mover in society.
Prompt facts, news, invitations to seminars etc. are provided in the electronic newsletter every other week.
The magazine "Annonsören" appears 4 times a year reflecting the entire marketing area through news, comments and debate, including international marketing.
The Association of Swedish Advertisers is a member of the World Federation of Advertisers, WFA, which monitors international advertising and media issues.
The legal "watch-dog" service warns members against invoice fraudsters - publications, fax catalogues etc. - who send invoices for ads not ordered.
The Association of Swedish Advertisers arranges qualified marketing training, courses and seminars of varying scope. These courses are largely open to everybody, but employees of member companies are given preference, and in addition they are always granted a discount on the participant's fee.
One example of staff member education is the course on market legislation that gives participants who pass the test "DRA" - Delegate Advertising Manager - competence.
For higher quality and enhanced effect
The Association of Swedish Advertisers arranges a contest called "100-wattaren", among advertisers and their agencies for the ad that brings in the best results. The contest formula is a stimulus intended to initiate and develop creative advertising, ads that generate measurable sales effects and contribute to increased profits.
